Your local watch retailer could not possibly have the sort of extensive stock of high quality glam rock watches that you can find on the web. Even if they had the space to accommodate each and every note worthy brand from Concord, Geneve, Chopard or Baume and Mercier, it would be cost prohibitive and frankly dangerous to keep this much high quality, big price tag items on their readily open and easily accessible premises. The quality of these watches is unquestionable and their value, well, that is right on the price tag. Keeping this kind of merch in high quantities at any store or shop is simply not affordable to your average retailer. With the internet these items can be kept in secure warehouses and shipped quickly from larger retailers who invest in a wide and varying stock of gorgeous high end watches.

Many folks will never see a watch as beautiful as Ulysse Nardin in person. These items are by their very design made to be exclusive and are worn in only the highest of society’s interactions. They are not the sort of items you are going to see on a guy jogging on an adjacent treadmill at the gym. You are more likely to see them at royal summits, gala events and major award shows. Part of the fun of browsing these items on the internet is that even those of us who may only ever own one of these truly amazing time pieces can scan over whole collections cataloging our dream collections.

The availability of online shopping sites has made being a collector of pretty much anything easier. This is especially true of luxury items which were often only sold in very secluded and highly secure shops that required you to jump through proverbial hoops just to get through the door. At least everyone can browse now.

Elton. They are both big personalities with flamboyant images, but Elton’ s voice has everything, while Bjork’s has only cuteneness and style, and he also has monster piano chops and an awesome back catalogue of stunning compositions, that Bjork has nothing to match. I don’t dislike Bjork, but Elton is out of her league.

1. Go to the main screen of the watch. (the one with the time… =P )
2. Press and hold “set” until it stops telling you to “HOLD-TO SET” it.
3. Press “mode” several times until you reach “ALRT”
4. Press stop/start to change ALRT setting from whatever it is, to “vibe” (for just vibrate) or “combo” (for both vibrate and audible).

Homemade Gifts From the Heart – Chocolate Dipped Spoons

Whether you’re trying to find your babysitter a Christmas gift, or your sister a little Valentine’s Day gift, or your child’s teacher a Thank You gift, there are times when you have to come up with an idea that won’t break your budget. If your family is like most, your finances are bleak and gift giving is one luxury you can’t afford anymore.

Normally when people are struggling with a tight budget, things that are considered unnecessary are the first things to go. Gifts are often the first things to be cut out of our budget, but we never feel good about that. We want to show our love for the people we care about, and who care about us, by giving gifts. How do we accomplish that with limited funds? By using our creativity and giving gifts that we put our heart into.

Making chocolate treats is one of my favorite gift ideas. It’s pretty simple to impress someone with a beautiful box of chocolate covered pecans or chocolate dipped pretzels. Chocolates always seem festive, and homemade chocolates say you appreciate someone very, very, much indeed.

Chocolate gifts aren’t as hard to make as you might think. With a little practice, you can create marvelous confectionery delights that will thrill your friends and family and make you the talk of the town! This is a fancy chocolate treat that no one makes for themselves, so it is the perfect gift.

Coffee Spoons For The Chocolate Fanatic

There’s a delicious connection between coffee and chocolate, so this gift is a natural for any coffee drinker on your gift list. Man or woman, if they drink coffee, they’ll love this gift.

Get ready with these items:

You can either purchase some nice silver spoons from your friendly local thrift shop, or just buy some heavy plastic spoons. I like the silver ones because you can find fancy spoons and sometimes some pretty unusual ones, too. Just wash and dry them before using.

In the baking aisle of your grocery store, you will find milk chocolate coating. This is the chocolate you’ll want to use. Don’t use the Real Chocolate as it is way too fussy and you don’t want to worry about it not turning out right.

If you’d like to add some crushed peppermint candy or other candy sprinkles to your spoons, that’s really pretty, too. You may also look for flavoring oils, like peppermint or amaretto, to really make these spoons fancy.

You’ll need to cover cookie sheets with parchment paper so the spoons won’t stick while cooling. Don’t use waxed paper as the chocolate will stick and you’ll have a mess. Parchment paper can also help the clean up if you’re working on a larger number of spoons.

Each spoon will be wrapped in a clear cellophane candy bag. You’ll find these in a craft store with all the candy making supplies. Also, at the craft store, be sure to pick up some decorative items to tie the bags shut, like ribbon, gift wrap ribbon, raffia, or jute rope.

Follow these simple steps:

Put a big pot of water on the stove and bring it to a boil. Carefully chop up your big chunk of chocolate into little chunks and put in a small pot that will fit in the big pot. When the water in the big pot comes to a boil, shut it off, and very carefully place the small pot in the hot water. Don’t let your water run over into the small pot with the chocolate. After the small pot sits for a few minutes and you see the chocolate start to melt on the edges, take the pot out of the water and begin stirring the chocolate with a big rubber spatula until it’s all melted.

When the chocolate is melted down, take a spoon and carefully dip it into the chocolate, hanging on to the handle, and place it on parchment paper on your tray or cookie sheet. Now is the time to add any decorations like sprinkles or crushed peppermints. Then continue dipping each spoon and decorating. When you are done, take your cookie sheet full of spoons and place it in a cold area. You can put them in a freezer or refrigerator but don’t let them stay in there because they will get moist. If you do use the freezer or refrigerator, take them out in just a few minutes and let them totally set up somewhere dry.

Once the chocolate has set up, you can put each spoon in a candy bag, and tie a piece of ribbon, raffia, or what have you around the handle of the spoon to close the bag. Now you can add a little extra ribbon, a candy cane, or any other decoration you’d like. If you are giving more than one spoon to someone, be sure to put them in a candy bag first, then place all of them together in a pretty bag or box.

That’s all there is! You have just created a one-of-a-kind gift for someone special in your life. Doesn’t that feel great? Your gift didn’t cost a lot of your hard earned money… you gave a creative gift that will be greatly appreciated… a gift from your heart.

Pug dogs – What You Need to Know

Pugs are fun and cute dogs that generally add a lot of love to a household. They are easy to care for, but present a few challenges due to their spirited nature.

General Appearance and Description

The pug is often called the cutest of all dogs, and it’s likely due to his characteristic stocky and compact body and his punched in face. He has a square body that is framed by a soft, sleek coat and accented by a forehead that looks to be in a perpetual state of worry.

Most pugs are apricot, fawn, black or silver colored. They will all have a black muzzle and prominent eyes. The eyes are nearly always dark and thoughtful. Pugs have short tails that are usually tightly curled.


Basic Temperament

Pug owners often refer to them as bigger dogs than their size allows. This is due to their very large personality. Pugs are playful and charm nearly everyone they come in contact with. That’s likely as much a process affected by their sweet looks as their sweet personality. They are affectionate and loving and intensely loyal. Pugs are quite smart as well.

But pug dog breeders will tell you that these dogs are willful and quite difficult to handle, especially if the humans let them believe they are smarter and stronger than the humans.

If you don’t establish yourself as the leader of the pack, the pug will, and he might exhibit some troubling behaviors like guarding furniture or other things in the house. While they are not aggressive dogs, pugs can be firm about their need to guard, simply because nobody else has stepped into the role of leader.

Care required

While they might take a bit of work in the behavior department, pugs are easy to care for. They need a good brushing every now and then and a shampoo only when absolutely necessary.

Because black pug puppies and other pugs are very short haired, it’s important to dry them off after a bath quickly and wrap them in a towel to prevent chills.

The creases on the face which give the pug their distinctive look require some care. They must be cleaned regularly with a cotton ball.

While they are very short haired, pugs do shed heavily several times a year.

Exercise Requirements

Pugs should be taken on regular walks, but these aren’t dogs that require a lot of physical stimulation. Most of them, in fact, can’t handle too much of that at all. They are very sensitive to climate, so taking them out in cold or hot weather is not advised.

Because they don’t require intense physical activity, pugs are a good choice for people who live in apartments or small spaces. Regardless of their living arrangements, because of their sensitivity to heat and cold, they should be kept mostly indoors.

Training

Pugs aren’t the most trainable of dogs, but they can be trained and will enjoy having some structure.

Because they are highly intelligent and somewhat clever, pugs do become tired quickly of boring training methods, so be sharp and shake things up when you are training these dogs.

Height and Weight

Most male pugs will be about 12 to 14 inches high and 13 to 20 pounds. Female pugs will be a bit smaller, with a height around 10 to 12 inches and will weigh about 13 to 18 pounds.

Health and Longevity

Pug dogs can often have a number of health problems.

Your pug is prone to colds and, as we discussed earlier, will be stressed by extremes in weather, from cold to hot.

The short muzzle on the pug causes breathing problems and they are prone to wheezing and other chronic breathing issues.

Pugs are prone to obesity, so watching their diet is essential. Some can be prone to laziness, so it’s best to force your pug to walk and get some exercise.

Finally, any pug owner can speak to the pug’s penchant for snoring. They snore loudly and often, and many a pug owner has lost some sleep in the night until they learn how to deal with the snoring.

In general, pugs are hearty dogs, and can live on average to be about 12 to 15 years old.

Suitability

Pugs get along well with other dogs and in general with other pets in the house. They love children and enjoy meeting new people. Their addition to the household is usually a good one.

Pugs also make excellent pets for senior citizens, who enjoy their laid back and friendly nature and their ability to make good lap pets.
